Narrative:
On January 27, 2019 at about 9:12 PM, units from the Moorpark Police Department responded to a fatal traffic collision at the intersection of Los Angeles Avenue and Gabbert Road. The decedent, Stephen Velador, was driving his car westbound on Los Angeles Avenue approaching Gabbert Road when his vehicle rear-ended a semi-truck that was stopped at the intersection for a red traffic signal.
Despite rescue efforts, Velador succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
This traffic collision is being investigated by the Moorpark Police Department. Anyone who may have been in the area or witnessed the traffic collision is encouraged to contact Deputy Bill Schneekloth at the Moorpark Police Station.
