On April 29, 2022, Camarillo patrol units and detectives with the Camarillo Special Enforcement Detail (SED) responded to a call for service at the 99 Cents Only Store located at 301 Arneill Road in Camarillo. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a 14-year old victim was approached by a light blue/ grey sport utility vehicle (SUV) while walking near Barry Street at North Glenn Drive. A female inside the suspect vehicle began a conversation with the victim. The female suspect coerced the victim to approach the vehicle. The victim approached the vehicle at which point the female suspect grabbed the victim’s hand and told the victim to get in the vehicle. The victim was able to pull away and safely left the area.
Shortly after, investigators obtained further information regarding the suspects and suspect vehicle. The suspect vehicle was described as a 2020 or newer light blue/ gray Cadillac or GMC SUV with a Michigan license plate. The suspect driving the vehicle was described as a heavy-set Hispanic male, in his late 20’s to early 30’s, with a black beard, black buzzed hair and wearing a black shirt. The second suspect was seated in the front passenger seat and was described as a Hispanic female, 40 – 50 years old, with black hair and wearing a black shirt. The third suspect was seated in the rear passenger portion of the vehicle and was described as a male subject wearing a white shirt.
