Securus Video Connect system is a fully web-based visual communication system that allows friends and family members to schedule and participate in video sessions with an incarcerated individual – from anywhere with internet access using the free Securus app, computer or tablet. Terms and Conditions

Please read all of the rules completely prior to moving forward. Not knowing the rules will not be accepted as an excuse for not following them. Failure to comply with any rule may result in the termination of visiting privileges.

Remote Video Visitation (off site):

Video visitation is not permitted during the operation of any motor vehicles or operating any machinery, or while performing any unsafe activities.

All personal visits are subject to monitoring and recording.

  • When visiting from home the visit(s) must be scheduled at least 24 hours prior to the appointment or up to 2 weeks in advance.
  • Video visitation is available at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility and the Todd Road Detention Facility from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
  • Incarcerated persons are allowed 2 visits per week for a maximum of 30 minutes per visit.
  • Visits at all Ventura County Sheriffs Office Facilities are limited to no more than two (2) visitors per incarcerated person, per visit.
  • To schedule a visit from home, you will need to have at least $6.00 in your Securus prepaid account.
  • The remote video visitation cost of $6.00 will be deducted from your Securus prepaid account as soon as your visit is scheduled.
  • Before you can add an additional adult visitor they must register/create an account.
  • Visitors under the age of 18 must be listed as an additional visitor and accompanied and supervised by an authorized adult visitor at all times.
  • Visitors may also be asked to provide proof of relationship to the incarcerated person.
  • If an incarcerated person is in ANY program (at court, on work assignments, all programs, attorney visits, etc.), they are NOT eligible to receive the visit at that time. It is your responsibility to schedule your visits around the incarcerated person’s program schedule.
  • If you are unable to attend your scheduled visitation, please log into your account and cancel your appointment at least 2 hours prior to the scheduled visitation time.
  • If your visit is cancelled by the facility, or if you cancel at least two hours prior, the $6.00 will be credited back to your Securus prepaid account.
  • If you do not check in for a scheduled visit, a refund will not be issued.
  • If you lose internet connection during your visitation, a refund will not be issued.

 Any incarcerated person or visitor whose behavior is disruptive during a visit may have his/her visiting privileges suspended and/or terminated.

  • The visitation schedule may be cancelled or altered on county appointed holidays or for safety/security reasons.
  • Staff can deny, change, or cancel a visit at any time.
  • Visiting under the influence of alcohol/drugs is strictly prohibited.
  • Each visitation session will show a timer to display elapsed time.
  • After your visit has ended, your connection will be terminated.

 PROPER ATTIRE: All visitors (male, female and children) must be fully and appropriately dressed. No tank tops, sleeveless shirts, low cut, see through or revealing clothing. No hats, head scarves (except religious head coverings), beanies or face masks. Visitors must be able to be identified during the visit. If either party is unable to be identified, the visit may be terminated, and additional discipline/restrictions may be placed. Clothing promoting drug use, gangs, hate, profanity, sex acts or violence is prohibited.

  • Any nudity or sexual provocative behavior by the incarcerated person or visitor is grounds for immediate termination of a video visit.
  • No use of additional electronic devices such as cell phones or tablets during a visit. Visitors will NOT take photographs or videos of the visit. Visitors will NOT display photographs or videos to the incarcerated person. No accessing social media or posting messages on behalf of the incarcerated person.
  • Incarcerated persons will not encourage visitors to engage in inappropriate behavior.
  • Incarcerated persons and visitors will only use their own sign on for visits.
  • Incarcerated persons will not join in another incarcerated person’s video visit. This includes standing in the background during a visit.


Notice: Violations of these rules will result in the cancellation of the visit, the visitor being banned from the system and the incarcerated person’s access being suspended for 6 months or permanently banned.
