| On 05/08/2022, a traffic collision occurred in the area of Borchard Road, just west of Los Vientos Drive in the city of Newbury Park. A male subject was traveling westbound in the bicycle lane on an electric bicycle when he suddenly left the roadway and collided with a fence causing life threatening head injuries. The rider was not wearing a helmet. Emergency personnel responded to the scene and transported the rider to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.This collision is under investigation by the Thousand Oaks Traffic Bureau.
