On November 10, 2018, at about 5:35 pm, the Thousand Oaks Police Department and the Ventura County Fire Department responded to an injury traffic collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian on Moorpark Road at Mayflower Street. The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. He later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The male pedestrian was walking west across Moorpark Road at the intersection with Mayflower Street. The driver of a SUV was travelling south on Moorpark Road when the vehicle collided with the pedestrian. The driver of the SUV did not suffer any injuries. At this time, alcohol or drug impairment is not suspected by the driver. The identity of the pedestrian is pending notification of next of kin by the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office.
