| Narrative: |
| On 06/07/2022, at approximately 8:40 PM, an on-duty Thousand Oaks patrol deputy stopped for a male who appeared to have collapsed within a marked crosswalk located on Thousand Oaks Boulevard, just west of Clay Court. Further investigation revealed that the male pedestrian was with a group of individuals who were waiting to cross Thousand Oaks Boulevard. The pedestrian started to cross the roadway when he was struck by a white sedan. Evidence at the scene indicated that the vehicle was traveling eastbound on Thousand Oaks Boulevard, just west of Clay Court. A witness said the vehicle momentarily stopped just past the crosswalk before fleeing the scene of the accident. The male was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. Unfortunately, the male subject later passed away from his injuries.
